From the quiet landscapes of the Netherlands to the boundless realms of philosophy and movement, my journey has been one of relentless exploration. As a child, I was captivated by the elegance of the sword—not just as a weapon, but as an extension of form, intent, and artistry. This fascination led me down a winding path of discovery, where disciplines intertwined, and creativity became my compass.

Martial arts found me at sixteen, in the form of Bujinkan Ninpo Taijutsu. It was more than technique; it was a philosophy—a way to move through the world with presence, adaptability, and grace. From its teachings, I traced the roots of Zen, Taoism, and the elemental wisdom of The Book of Five Rings, each unveiling a deeper understanding of balance and impermanence.

Yet, the artist's path is never linear. A restless spirit, I explored many callings, from science to entrepreneurship, academia to craftsmanship. The structure of traditional pursuits never quite fit, yet every detour enriched the journey, layering experience upon experience like ink on parchment. Dyslexia, once a challenge, became an ally—shaping the way I perceive patterns, symbols, and the unseen harmony within chaos.

Now, through Studio Duality, I unite philosophy and form, movement and meaning. My art is an echo of ancient wisdom, a visual meditation on contrast, rhythm, and the ever-shifting forces of nature. Guided by the five elements of Musashi’s teachings—Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, and Void—I create not merely to express, but to evoke.
